General
These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online with Reynolds Furniture Store. Please read carefully before placing any order. All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms and conditions will be deemed to affect your statutory rights.
By using this site you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Products, prices and content
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the pictures and colours depicted on the site match as closely as possible those of the actual product due to technical limitations, some colours may vary.
All prices are shown in pound sterling (£) * and are inclusive of UK VAT * at the current rate unless clearly stated.
Prices, product descriptions and specifications are checked to the best of our ability, and whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions.
Any information displayed on our web site(s) or other printed matter by the company is not regarded to be authoritative or certified as the best practice and is only considered to be useful supplementary advice to other certified codes of practice. All information on our web site is updated regularly.
We reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice.
*The web price includes VAT at 20%.
Orders
We are pleased to accept orders by any of the following methods. Online transaction via secure server or by telephone. All credit / debit card transactions are subject to validation checks and are authorised by the card issuer. We accept cards by MasterCard, Visa, or Maestro/Solo . If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay and / or non-delivery of your order. No orders will be accepted or processed without a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder.
Cancellation of a special order cannot be accepted once the goods have been put into production, are in our possession, or cannot be cancelled with the Supplier. Cancellation of an order will incur costs which will be deducted from the monies paid at 20% of the total purchase price.
Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:-
- The product you ordered is unavailable from stock or discontinued by the manufacturer.
- Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment.
- The identification of a pricing or product description error.
Cancellation by us
We reserve the right not to accept any order request if:
- we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered;
- we do not deliver to your area;
- one or more of the goods ordered was incorrectly described or priced on the website;
- the payment transaction is not authorised;
Incorrect pricing. On the rare occasion the website is displaying an incorrect or out-of-date price or there are obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on Reynolds website, we reserve the right to remove any item from any order and provide a full refund to the customer for that item.
If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by email and will refund to you any sum paid by you to us in respect of the contract as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of the cancellation of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Payment
Payment must be received in full on placement of the order.
Goods can be held for 4 weeks with full payment. Thereafter, storage rental charges at our current rates, will apply.
Delivery
Although the suppliers delivery date to the Company is quoted in good faith, the Company gives no undertaking that the goods will be delivered on the date given, and will not be liable for any loss or damage consequent upon delay in delivery or non-delivery of the goods.
The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage to the goods suffered in transit unless the Company is notified within three days after delivery. All damage must be reported to us immediately. This does not apply to Manufacturing faults which may become apparent at a later date. A collection charge is applicable if old goods similar to the new goods being delivered are to be disposed of and taken away. The collection charge is advised prior to new goods being delivered. The customer is responsible for adequate access for delivery of goods.
The Company can accept no responsibility on installation of the goods(where required) for any damage caused to water, gas or electrical systems, pipes, conduits or cables which are concealed under the surface of any floor, wall or ceiling or any loss (including consequential loss) to the goods, person or property of the customer, or any other persons directly or indirectly resulting or arising from such installation, unless the whereabouts of such systems, pipes, conduits or cables (as the case may be) was notified to the Company prior to the commencement of installation.
If the Company is not notified of the whereabouts of such systems, pipes, conduits or cables prior to installation, the customer will indemnify the Company and its employees against all claims by third parties for loss or damage arising or resulting from the installation of the goods.
All local & national deliveries will be subject to a delivery charge as quoted at time of order.
Where goods are over a certain weight or an extra delivery person is required, delivery will be restricted to local post codes at our discretion.
Products that need self assembly and are delivered outside of our 25 mile radius from store will need to be assembled by the customer who will also be responsible for disposing of the packaging.
Rooms to be cleared prior to carpet fitting or other type of flooring fitting, unless already included in the original order. Any additional work undertaken by the fitter is payable directly to the fitter on completion of the work.
If you need to change details of your delivery address, remove items from your order or cancel it completely, please contact our Customer Services team for advice on 01243 871200 between 9am and 5.30pm, 6 days a week, or use our contact form. Please be ready to quote your order number and order date. If your order has already been despatched or delivered, then you will need to follow our Returns procedure.
What if I wish to cancel my order before delivery?
In Stock Orders:
If, after having placed your order for goods that are in stock, you have a change of heart for whatever reason, you may cancel your order at any time prior to delivery. All you need to do is advise us by emailing us at info@reynoldsfurniture.co.uk
Special Orders:
Cancellation for any items that are ordered upon your request, that show a delivery lead time (for example - Delivery in 4-6 weeks) are at the discretion of Reynolds Furniture and may incur any reasonable costs borne by the company. Any changes to specification of original orders must be notified in writing and are not guaranteed.
What if I wish to return my order?
Furniture bought from stock:
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, if you buy items from stock online or by phone, your consumer rights entitle you to a full refund if you request one in writing within 7 working days after the day of receipt. This includes any delivery charge. If you require us to collect the goods we reserve the right to make a charge to cover collection costs.
Furniture ordered at your request:
For all specially ordered, made to measure or bespoke items (you will be informed after submitting the order of a delivery time of 6 weeks for example), goods cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.
Accessories:
For small items (delivered by courier), you (the customer) are responsible for the cost and safe return to Reynolds Furniture Ltd. Where large products are returned unwanted and you require us to collect (if bought from stock and returned within 7 days as per the Distance Selling Regulations), we reserve the right to make a charge to cover the collection cost.
What if the goods are faulty?
In the unlikely event that your goods are faulty, please contact our dedicated Customer Service team on 01243 871200.
Ownership of goods
All items supplied to the customer remain the property of Reynolds until final payment of all sums owing in respect of those goods has been received in full by us. Title of the goods shall not pass until full payment is made.
Comments and complaints

Returns and exchanges
We recommend that you insure the package you are returning. We suggest the use of a carrier that can provide you with a "proof of delivery". Reynolds cannot be liable for items lost or damaged in transit.
YOUR GUARANTEE
“We guarantee goods purchased from us to be free of defects. If any defect in manufacture or materials used (other than those resulting from normal wear and tear which will vary from household to household and for which we cannot be responsible) are notified to us in the first year after your purchase, we will, free of charge to you, make good the defects or, if we so decide, replace the defective goods.
This Guarantee is in addition to manufacturers’ Guarantees, and also in addition to, and not detracting from, the rights which you have at Law; subject to these, we reserve the right to make a charge for after sale service to defects notified to us more than one year after your purchase”.
